Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Lens Standards

F.I.S.T. is a women’s leather/BDSM, service, educational, and social organization open to all women, intersex persons, transgender persons, gender queer persons, gender non-conforming persons, genderfluid persons, agender persons, AFAB persons, and non-binary persons who are interested in S/M, leather, kink and fetish between women.  Our membership is diverse in race, color, age, orientation, sexual orientation, gender, personal identity, education, ethnicity, national origin, religion, and ableness. 

We are a diverse club, dedicated to actively fostering a space where all are committed to enthusiastically embracing nondiscrimination and diversity. As such, the following apply:

1. We will endeavor to create an environment where our members and guests feel they are safe to connect and express themselves in an uninhibited and confidential manner. 
2. We will encourage clarity and transparency in our communication and interactions.
3. We agree to examine and work to dismantle any policy or procedure that is found to violate our DEMC standards.
4. We will commit time and resources to challenge and expand our views. That includes working to generate awareness of any unconscious bias we may have and attempting to be more intentional about how F.I.S.T. moves through the world and contributes to our communities. 
5. We will endeavor to maintain awareness of multicultural perspectives and representation within our leadership, membership and in our planning activities.
6. We commit to hearing and learning from all the voices of F.I.S.T. and the communities we support.
